Divorces are now processed online via the government’s divorce ‘portal’ which can be found here:
https://www.gov.uk/divorce/file-for-divorce
You will need to create a (free) account to submit a Divorce. The process of creating an account doesn’t take very long to do.
After creating an account, the portal will ask you a number of simple questions about you and who you want to divorce. Once all the questions are answered and you have paid the court fee (unless you are exempt from paying the fee based upon your income and savings) the process begins.
Because of the simple process and the user-friendly nature of the portal, many people are processing their divorce themselves rather than paying a solicitor to do it. Of course, if you’d prefer, we can process the divorce for you.
